Cell-IQ® - Imaging and Automated Analysis System
Endpoint assays or snap shot imaging can provide some insight into cell behaviour but if you really want to gain an insight into cellular activity, growth rate, behaviour and morphology changes kinetic data is the way forward. Cell-IQ allows you to expand your knowledge and understanding of your cells and cellular processes.
Incubator – Optimised and flexible format
An optimised culture environment ensures cells are maintained in a healthy and viable state, use of the Cell-Secure™ lid ensures cells remain free of contamination and fluctuations in CO2 levels. The Cell-Secure lid is generic in design and can be fitted to any plate type.
The holder within the incubator has been designed to support a multitude of cell culture vessels including microplates, flasks, dishes and microscope slides. The two imaging positions allows you to mix and match vessels running different experiments in parallel. Additionally, the independent gas feeds to the two imaging positions enables side by side normoxic and hypoxic experiments to be performed.
Imaging – Exceptional quality images for 2D and 3D cultures
Reducing stress on cells due to photo-toxic and photo bleaching effects during the imaging process is essential. Cell-IQ has a state of the art illumination system utilising light emitting diodes (LEDs) for illumination which is controlled by the user through the simple Imagen™ interface.
Combination of an automatic focus, dynamic Z-stack and all-in-focus image generation process ensures the final result is a image of exceptional quality captured for your sample. Cells may be cultured in 2D or 3D format using media, matrigel or collagen and can also be visualised on certain types of scaffolds or membranes.
Software and Interface – Simple, intuitive and automated
Cell-IQ is easy to network, doing so allows you to remotely control image acquisition, retrieve data and analyse images from the comfort of your desk or home office. Images can be processed to create movies, stitch grids and overlay fluorescence output with the minimum of effort. Samples can be analysed individually e.g, for a particular image series/well or processed using the Batch Process Feature analysing or manipulating the data from a entire experiment or plate in one go. The extensive functionality of the Analyser™ Software Package allows a multitude of parameters to be quantified automatically for each experiment from cell count, growth rate, distance moved, speed, tubule formation, length, quality of tubule formed and much, much more for phase contrast and fluorescence images.
